Returning to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Störling Dance Theater‘s Underground is the show that has stirred hearts, shaken up the status quo and formed lifelong friendships over the past 16 years. In this production, the story of the Underground Railroad is performed to original music, features beautiful costumes and has a pace that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Presented in partnership with Unite KC, Underground inspires audiences with its historically-based characters to fight racial division today by overcoming evil with Good. Men and women who met through this production have played an integral role in Unite KC’s strategy for racial healing in Kansas City. Unite KC Founder, Dayton Moore, is one of them. Whether you’re celebrating Black History Month, American history or the story that binds us all together, don’t miss out on your chance to see the show that has become a Kansas City tradition and a catalyst to do One Good Thing for racial unity today! “Top 10 Performance of the Decade!” – Paul Horsley, The Independent
