Unite KC and Love KC Announce Merger

Gary Kendall, Director of Love KC, and Ray Jarrett, Executive Director of Unite KC, are pleased to announce a merger. As of June 1, 2024, the two nonprofit organizations will combine their efforts and resources under Unite KC, led by Ray Jarrett.

After much prayer and discussion, both organizations believe that combining their efforts and resources can be more effective in bringing Human Flourishing to Kansas City.

Both organizations sincerely hope that this merger of personnel and resources sets a strong example of unity and connectedness in Kansas City. As one, the organizations are poised to increase their impact in the city, the church, the community and beyond.

Unite KC will continue in its mission to take action that prompts heart transformation, builds community and, ultimately, leads to racial healing while adding Love KC and its mission. Love KC invites individuals to adopt their neighborhoods and join Jesus where He's already at work. Over 4,500 individuals have adopted their neighborhood to live on mission where they live, learn, work and play.

Love KC will support the growing church partnerships, serving the Church and Family Domain under Unite KC.

The merger begins June 1 and will be completed before the end of the calendar year.

Jarrett says, “This fall, we will host a town hall-style public meeting to cast a unified vision and invite questions. Expect to receive an invitation to a celebration before the year's end.”

The organization plans to celebrate the merger and welcomes the continued support of volunteers, prayer partners and donors.

"We are eager for the opportunity to continue the heart of Love KC under the umbrella of Unite KC," said Kendall. "We see this as a win for both organizations and look forward to seeing how the merger will benefit the KC community."

"Love KC has always been a great partner," Jarrett stated. "We are excited to take this next step in working together as one organization for greater impact in our beloved city."

We are ready to increase our impact in the city, the church, the community, and beyond. Please continue and even increase your support as we put the networks together.

We anticipate no cessation of missional objectives or events of either organization as we assimilate people and resources under one roof.

These are exciting times, and leadership of both organizations is confident of God's leading and providence.
