Chlo Rizzo
Since earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UMKC in 1992, Captain Chlo Rizzo has built a distinguished career in law enforcement, serving on both sides of the state line. Her experience includes roles with the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD), the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools Police Department, and the Blue Valley Public Schools.
As the supervisor for the Blue Valley School District's Campus Police Department, Chlo leads a team of ten officers dedicated to ensuring the safety of students, staff, and families. She focuses on fostering a culture of safety by building strong relationships characterized by honest, open, and transparent communication. With 16 years of experience in policing, Chlo remains passionate about serving the community, creating meaningful connections, and bringing together people from diverse backgrounds.
Chlo is actively involved in community initiatives. She serves on the Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board in Johnson County and works with the Disproportionate Minority Contact Subcommittee. Her vision for Kansas City includes overcoming its reputation as one of the most heavily segregated cities in the nation by promoting unity and collaboration for the common good.
